Master Li selected material from 100-year-old small tea trees (Da Shu) for this extraordinary sheng puerh. The leaves were harvested in Garden No. 2 on Ailao Mountain, at an altitude of 2300–2400 meters above sea level, within the largest natural reserve of moist evergreen broadleaf forests in China. In this tea, as in all our others, only the first spring harvest and manual production techniques are used. The local tea variety is characterized by smaller leaf size and a high number of buds. Thanks to the efforts of an experienced master, the unique pure terroir is fully reflected in this powerful sheng puerh. For optimal aging, the cakes were heavily compressed.
Aroma: wild herbs, plantain, chamomile, and sage blossoms. The flavor is sweet with moderate astringency and a minty coolness. Smooth and bright, with a long aftertaste.
Provides a deep and warm Cha Qi that is hard to combine with a working mindset.
By infusions, water temperature 95-100°C
